Vinh lost his sight in an accident when he was two years old. He has a degree from RMIT in marketing and a post grad in special needs education from the University of Exeter in the UK. He won a scholarship to go and passed with distinction!
He runs a variety of programs, one of which is a ten module course, covering how to face everyday life with a visual impairment. Subjects include: self-acceptance, independent living, digital literacy, communication, building healthy relationships as well as reaching out to others. He meets with, trains and mentors young visually impaired people to help equip them for the challenges they face each day.
Vinh also runs a small home for blind people, where they live independently. We are hoping to help him set up more homes in the future.
Vinh is a great example of not letting anything get in your way; he is an inspiration to us all.
