We support five homes that care for 111 children.

We directly operate two of these homes, while supporting three others, one in District 3, a girls’ shelter in District 4 and a home for 24 children in Tra Vinh.

Orphanages

District 3 orphanage

We have been visiting this shelter every week for the past 12 years. Each week we give English and art classes, English and computing classes for the blind children as well as a playroom for the children with disabilities to have fun and have some basic physical therapy in.

The kids are growing in their ability to speak and understand English, as well as developing their thinking and problem- solving skills.

We have a team of brilliant volunteers whose aim is to make as many children as they can feel like the centre of the universe for five minutes each week.

M’s Mai

M’s Mai has been running a safe house for girls for the past 40+ years. She saw there was a real need in her community and couldn’t stand by and watch the girls suffering. So she set up this home and has never stopped. She is amazing, as are all the girls.

We have been supporting this home since 2019. We visit them every two weeks, teaching life skills, art and English classes; we play games, eat pizza, and have as much fun with them as we can! We also support M’s Mai with food and scholarship’s for all the girls, utility, medical and dental bills.

The Orphanage
in Dong Nai

We’ve supported the Dong Nai shelter since 2015. In 2024, to offer more focused care, we brought the children to the city and opened a new home for them. We still visit Dong Nai bi-weekly to support local families in crisis. The children there are the most vulnerable. We have a playground there which is as a safe, after-school escape for them.

During visits, we provide: English, art, and life skills lessons. We organize sports, games, and fun outings (swimming, cinema and some the beach trips), also celebrating holidays and birthdays. We also offer essentials like food boxes and scholarships to the wider community.

Tra Vinh Shelter

Mua and her husband run a home for 24 people - some have mental disabilities others have been traumatized by horrible experiences. Mua and her husband currently have seven children under the ages of 2.

We send milk and nappies each month and some funds for extra food to help cover the cost of looking after so many people.
