We provide food boxes and clothes to those struggling, both in HCMC and the surrounding rural areas.
We distribute food boxes and meals each month to a variety of people who are struggling to make ends meet. We support families with children who would otherwise live on rice and nuonc tuong (soy sauce). Where we can, we add meat and vegetables to the food boxes, especially for the families with younger children.
People we are already helping let us know about other families who also need help. Our youth worker also encourages the young people we mentor to get involved in buying and delivering the food.
In these pictures, food is being distributed to people receiving treatment for various cancers. They come from the countryside to receive treatment - usually chemotherapy, rent a bed for 300,000 VND per week. When their treatment is finished, they go home as soon as they are able. We do our best to encourage them and show them that someone cares.
Here we prepare and distribute food boxes and parcels to people living slum areas, or to families who are struggling to make ends meet.
We also collect and distribute clothes to those in the highlands. In the winter months it is very cold; the poorest suffer the most.
